Ms. Garvey graduated from Creighton University School of Law, Cum Laude, in 1996 where she achieved the highest grade in legal writing and marriage and divorce and received the Corpus Juris Secundum Award for Scholastic Excellence in Criminal Law.
Prior to law school, she practiced medicine as a physician assistant in the areas of family practice, internal medicine, and bone marrow transplantation.
She is an adjunct faculty member at Metropolitan Community College where she teaches Business Law and Real Estate Law, and in the College of St. Mary's Paralegal Program where she has taught Family Law and Contracts.
In her spare time she is an active FAA licensed pilot and a U.S.P.A. licensed skydiver and has represented aircraft owners in FAA matters.

Ms. Garvey has over 20 years experience, 13 of which she brings to her own practice from one of Omaha's larger firms, where she represented hospitals, schools, organizations, local businesses, pharmaceutical companies, and of course individuals as both plaintiffs and defendants in litigation not only in Douglas County but also in other areas of eastern Nebraska.
Her current practice has focused on mediation and representation of juveniles and parents in juvenile court matters.
She is a court approved Guardian Ad Litem and 4.3 Mediator for parenting plans. She has experience in mediation of both domestic and civil matters.
